How to make a Paracord Dog Slip Collar

Posted by Major Cord on Feb 08, 2013

After a long break we are now back with another Paracord Projects, How to make a Paracord Dog Slip Collar. A very famous type of collar specially to larger breeds.

This is a good weekend Paracord Projects for our canine friend. You will have to measure your dog’s neck at it’s base (lowest part) and add a few inches more to make sure the collar will not be too tight.

Things needed:

Paracord (atleast 20 ft for each color)
    2 Steel Rings (about 1 1/2 size)
    Knife or scissors

If you will  notice in this video,  The 2 different colors of paracords are already melted or joined together. If you have no idea on how to do that, please watch the How to join paracords together by melting video first.

The video will not show how to end the dog collar but it can easily be done with the same process used to attach buckles on paracord survival bracelet. You can view that by following this link on How to attach buckes and shackles.

If you don’t have a paracord yet, you can visit the Paracord Supplies section and you can purchase your paracords from there.
