How to make a paracord monkey fist keychain

Posted by Major Cord on Jun 17, 2011

Today’s exciting Paracord Projects, the paracord monkey fist keychain! Yup it’s a nice looking keychain and a little heavy due to its actual filling, a ball bearing. Knock yourself out with this cool keychain.

This video is from OTEP1234567891011 on youtube. The video is quite lengthy with a total of about 10 minutes. The quality of the video is good and the instructions are easy to follow as usual. The building process may take a handful of time specially the wrapping process which consist of a few layers.

The original material used as a filler was a ball bearing. Honestly I don’t have that so I used a marble instead and achieved the same result. Maybe just a little lighter than what you can originally make from a ball bearing. But what the heck, they can’t see what’s inside anyways.

For this Paracords Projects we will need:
Atleast 6 ft of paracord
A ball bearing or marble
A lighter for burning the ends

If you don’t have a paracord yet, you can visit the Paracord Supplies section and you can purchase your paracords from there.
